These are photos of Kiev Tumblers. As the name say, they are from Kiev in Ukraine.

On my last trip to Riga on August 2007, capital city of Latvia, I had the pleasure of visiting my friend Yuri George. He is a breeder of Kiev Tumblers and Najinesky Tumblers.

Photos:The Kiev Tumblers are the one's with White Neck and a Color Spot on the head and also all White color(rare color in Kiev Tumblers).

Najinesky Tumbler

-Nežinský-, -Nejiner-

Origin: Ukraine

These pigeons are high flyers flying at extreme heights describing small circles.

They are also divers. When they come back to the pigeon loft, they fall down with their wings

open to their backside.

(white color body with black tail and black neck)

Kiev Tumbler

Ukraine name:Kijivskij svitlij. Russian name:Kievskie svetlie.

Origin:Kiev, capital city of Ukraine.

You can find breeders of this breed in Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia and most recently, Portugal.

I'm aware of some breeders in Germany, but they are breeding for show, not for flying.

Description:A flying breed that flies at a medium height and it should make single 'tumbles'. It is long-faced, with a long beak. It is a slender, gentle pigeon.
Size:Small, a little smaller than a normal homer piegon(racing pigeon); weight from
210 to 250 grams.

Ornaments:Have a peak-crested and small-muffed legs. Its wings are carried upon the tail, wich has a minimum of 12 rectrices and an oil duct.

Colors:The feathers of the head, breast, neck and feet are white; Including a frontal spot on the four-head, wich should be of the same color that the rest of the body.
It's eye is bull, with flesh-colored eye cere but you can find lue Bar Kiev's with red eyes.

They are found in many colors: Red, Yellow, Black, Blue Bar, Blue Check, Red Check, Ash Red Spread, Dune, Black Bronze, Reduced and all White, wich is a rare color on Kiev Tumblers.
