Hello or Olá in
Portuguese.
-My name is Pedro Bento, I'm 29 years old (yes, I'm not getting
younger)
straight, not married(yet)
and I'm from
Portugal (no, Portugal its not a spanish
province).
-I live close to a
small town called Aveiras De Cima.
I have pigeons since 1991. I started with competition racing pigeons.
I dont remember the year, maybe 1996, I went to a pigeon show and
thats when my interest with Fancy pigeons began. I have had many
breeds such as Bohkara Trumpters, Archangels, Frillbacks, Egiptian
Swifts, Kings, Modenas(Gazzi, Schietti), Norwich Croppers, Fantails,
Smerle de Flandes, Chinese Owls and Jacobins.
My "thing" with rollers its recent.
In 2006 I bought 2 pairs of High Flying Rollers wich seem to have
Oriental Roller blood.
In June 2007, I bought some birds from Mr.Graham Dexter and he also
loan me some of his best rollers for breeding. Since then we are
great friends and I'm very proud to have him as a friend. I've been
learning a lot about the Birmingham Roller with him and I
realized that I still have a long way to get even near of his
expertise with Birmingham Rollers.
-At present time I have Birmingham Rollers (all from Graham Dexter,
most of them Dave Moseley bloodlines from U.K.)
High Flying Rollers, Escampadissa, Kiev Tumblers and Portuguese
Tumblers.
I'm one of the newest members of the NPRA
and also a member of the portuguese APC.
